Nodular Ductile Iron Microstructure consisting of nodular graphite in a pearlitic matrix surrounded by ferrite islands (bullseye graphite)
Torsional Testing
Measure of the ability of a material to withstand a twisting load. It is the ultimate strength of a material subjected to torsional loading, and is the maximum torsional stress that a material sustains before rupture. Alternate terms are modulus of rupture and shear strength.
ATRONA can adapt to your part by building a fixture to hold the bar or shaft into the machine and cycle the load or twist the shaft to failure.
